  3. It is even more beautiful in the snow but the visitors have all disappeared. For some reason I never think of Japan having snow and am surprised to see it every time.

    1. Just to clarify, the white shown in this photo is not snow but rather cherry blossoms.

  4. I am college-town-sick. (Can't be homesick when you still live in the same zip code where you were born.) But DC's tidal basin remains my spring utopia, especially when the cherry blossoms are in bloom.
