Additional Coverage

I knit these fingerless mitts a couple of years ago, but I have never been happy with them.

Why? Mostly because my thumb was too exposed. Of course, I don't have scrap yarn from this project which is probably why the thumbs were so short.

Yesterday, I ripped out the thumb and used the scrap yarn from my niece's socks to give my thumb more coverage.

It is not a perfect match, but is close enough for me.
